Human Rights in crisis

Black Slaves fought for liberty and freedom. Woman fought for equality in society. The French Revolution stated the famous phrase Liberté, Fraternité et égalité. So, why now that the society has advanced so much, there is still injustice and violation against the human rights around the world?

The human rights are a very important subject for big organizations and for the world itself. Without the human rights, the whole world would be a total chaos and the society would go back to a blank state.

However, a lot of countries have a lot of issues that imply the violation of the rights such as India, Congo, China and so many more. Asia and Africa are the continents where the rights violation against human rights has been registered.

In India; one of the most populated countries in the world is suffering a major crisis in human rights since equality and freedom are being shut down. The religious groups between Hindus and Muslims are killing each other just because they have different beliefs; this is a clear violation against equality because even if there are groups with different beliefs, ethnicity or culture, they are all equal.

Also, around the world there is the human traffic which consists in kidnapping girls to use them for prostitution; this is a clear violation against freedom, the right of being free and to have liberty.

In China, there is the violation against the right to life. The Chinese people play abortions on woman and sometimes against their will because there is the only one child policy. China is known as the most populated country in the world but if they don’t want to be more crowded, they should educate the Chinese more about sexuality and how to avoid having abortions.

The major problem is that not much is done. People think that the world leaders are guilty of the disorder and chaos in the countries but they are not; of course sometimes they are part of the problem but the civilians are part of it too. This problem of human rights has happened since the beginning of the times and it continues till today. The society has advanced and developed so much but we have to develop a lot more and we will continue developing always because there’s always new to do and learn.

The world will never be a Utopia because it isn’t perfect but society can try its best to turn the world into a better place. The future is in the hands of the future generations so why can’t we start the education today? Governs should provide all the education that is needed and apply the law today. Maybe we can’t change the world today but we can start now so it would change in the future.

The change has to start today and by each one of us.

  1. In my opinion I think that people's mentality has changed in the las decades because people were mistreted in the past, were there used to be salves and woman had no rights and this has evolved till now, were human rights take a big role in people's lives. But I also consider that human rights should continue being improved because there is still much to change as Françoise comments, like for example in China where they violate the right of living. I want also to add that in Texas they still attempt to the death penalty were they also attempt the right of living. I think that in the future human rights will be taken seriously and people will develope a sistem which really can function.
